Thousands of hours? That would be one person over like 2 decades easy. That would be NOTHING. The scale is so far off you can not even grasp it.

each one billion dollars would be 20 million hours at (to make the math easy for those in red states) $50 an hour.

My heart goes out to all the good people that are going to suffer too, who have to share a country with people that threw them under the bus and sold them out for cheaper eggs that we all knew weren’t going to happen.

Edit: it would be nice if you could repurpose deleted comments when you change your mind about replying, seeing as that ‘deleted by creator’ now hangs around forever anyway.

This is a power demonstration by Trump. This is a way to show that he is in charge. This is nothing new, every tyrant government wants to the keep their wealthiest citizens in check.

This looks very alike the earliest days of Putin in Russia.

      Completely agree.

These are some of the richest and most powerful people in the world. And they bent their knee for Trump, some more willingly than others.

It’s clearly a warning for the rest: fall in line now or face the consequences.

To be fair, I barely squeak into that 20%, the cutoff being like $115,000 a year. I live in one of the most expensive places in the world, though, so most of my income goes to cost of living, womp womp. I have a roof over my head and food on my table, so I’m fine, but I’m really not doing as well as I should be all things considered. I massively sympathize for those that aren’t as fortunate as me though. The whole system is bullshit.

My wife and I together pull roughly the same. We’re basically living month to month. We’re tightening the belt, and still aren’t really able to save, always seems to be random very expensive things popping up that needs delt with immediately. Any time we get ahead a bit we get fucked with needing to replace the roof or the like. Treading water is what it feels like.

I feel this in my soul. My dog and my car gobbled up like $5,000 recently… I was planning on traveling abroad this Spring. I’m not going to be traveling abroad this Spring lol.

Uuuuuuugh…the car…smfh… I need it otherwise I have a 2+ hr commute each way. But if it doesn’t stop being a pit to burn money in… And then there’s the cat. If I didn’t love the little bastard so very much I’d have turned him into a hat already…

“The Elite” on the right only used as a dogwhistle, usually means “person with college or university education”, and at worst outright means “Jew” (liberally applied, since the far-right likes to take away people’s Gentile cards).

France is no longer vibing like it’s 1789. Now we have Macron clinging to power like a leech, not letting go, he also loves to make friends with the ultra-wealthy, Bernard Arnault and the like.

Put them all in a bag, hit the bag with a stick. You’re always hitting the right one.
