Nazi chat is the norm at 4chan/p and /b. Since these are the fonts from which GOP staffers come, it only makes sense the same lingo would manifest in gov/p forums as well.

“There are good nazi’s on both sides”, is what Trump will eventually say, once the whole nazi thing becomes even more normalized by the complicit big media companies.

Look, I don’t believe that every republican voter I run into in the real world is a straight up Nazi. Half my family are republicans and, although pretty ignorant and dumb, are generally decent people. That being said, if you are a republican and find the need to defend this or act like it’s not a big deal, you are a literally associating with Nazis. It doesn’t matter what your politics are, the people that you think have your back are literal Nazis.

The moment you let a single Nazi into your bar, you now run a Nazi bar. Or however the saying goes.

I’ve got a mostly left leaning family, but I’m close to calling the centrist ones Nazi’s to their face. See if that snaps them out of.

Go find the Wikipedia article about companies that participated in the Holocaust and then sit and think about what companies are doing today just to make a little more money. It’s the same shit through and through.

I don’t need to find the Wikipedia article, I paid attention in school.

The companies participating in the current right-wing takeover are supporting fascists. The fascists are in power doing fascist things. None of these people are Nazis. If someone is serious about understanding what is happening in the US and how they can work to end it then they should, at the very least, understand the basic terminology of the topic.

Making provocative statements with simple minded black and white statements like ‘If you support Nazis, then you are a Nazi’ is ignorant, even if it gets upvoted. It’s spreading ignorance instead of knowledge, it is literally misinformation.

            They’re fascists.

A person who was actually educated on the topic would call them fascists, not Nazis. Unless you think they’re literally the National Socialist German Workers’ Party of the 1930s then they’re not Nazis.

Calling fascists Nazis is a meme spread by the ignorant who’s only education is social media. Don’t confuse upvotes with being correct, the Internet is full of ignorant people and literal children.

calling them nazi’s is not ignorance of what a nazi was.

it’s invoking direct comparison between someone and the explicit actions of the nazis among other fascist.

it’s sorta like claiming none can be called a dickhead because no one has a dick for a head

to argue agisnst the capability of comparison is to defend one of the two parties, so which nazi are you defending here?

Going back to circa 1930s, there was a word for a person who supported the Nazi party not because that person was evil to the core, but because they got duped and were too stubborn to admit it; or because they thought it would bring about positive economic changes; or because they thought was the best option for Germany despite the evil stuff happening at an alarming frequency…

That word was “Nazi”. Every one of them you would have run into in the real world was a literal, straight up Nazi.

About half of my family are also Nazis. Whatever they generally are in addition to being Nazis stopped mattering when they decided to become Nazis.

Ignorance is a choice. Participation in politics is a choice. Being “dumb” is not a choice, but those things are. They are doing a horrible thing and someone should let them know that regularly for as long as they do that.
