We kind of split it but when doing a grocery delivery subscription like hellofresh for a few weeks, I cook most of it because I find following the baby step instructions less tedious
I do the cooking because I enjoy it and am halfway decent at it, he does all the dishes. It’s a fair trade for both of us, since he hates cooking and I’m not a fan of doing dishes.
My wife on weekdays, me on weekends/holidays/any days I don’t work.
Most of the time my gf does the cooking. I’m the primary breadwinner, plus she loves to cook. I do too, but she does more. I do other stuff around the house - clean up after the cats, clean floors, take out garbage - but cooking is her deal.
Usually my mother but I like to volunteer as to learn and expan my skills
I do it at least 6 days of the week, I have a very intense problem-solving job and cooking something following a recipe helps me relax and blank my mind a bit.

The kids each have one or two dishes they can prepare for lunch to feed each other.
The cats are useless layabouts and don’t even bring us hunting trophies anymore.

The realistic answer
It is just my wife and I. We will alternate the cooking, every other day. Who ever doesn’t cook, does the clean up.
I do the cooking. It’s not like my wife is incapable, she’s just the breadwinner and it’s more fair for me to do most of the house stuff.
the microwave
My wife mostly because she doesn’t work full time and she’s an incredible cook. When she doesn’t want to then I usually grill up something.

I cook for myself usually. Husband is a picky eater and is willing to fend for himself (he generally does meal prep with the handful of things he likes for the week and heats stuff up.) If I am cooking something he does like I’ll cook for us both.
Depends on work. And If we both work we cook together
