i hate that most of it is half-assed unless you spend twice as much to make it look good.

the current black paint + edgelord logo + generic phrase about gaming + half-brighness rainbow LEDs on 40% of your components in every computer just gets old. if one actually spends a decent amount of money i think it can look good, tho.

public transit isnt supposed to be a profit center for companies, it is a public service. making sure transit runs to rural areas would allow rural people to get to town without having to drive.

if there was a transit service that was either equal to or faster than driving and inexpensive to use, there would be no point in driving to town.

that town can have a train station for inter-city transit to allow for longer rides for business or pleasure.

imagine not needing a car or plane, and being able to go on a distant vacation : D

i visited toronto ~2 years ago, and convinced the travel party we should take public transit for a day. most of it was great until we realized that red line commuter rail (seen in the photo) had no notice of some of its rails being under construction.

i planned everything out perfectly, but had to walk an hour back to our airbnb because that stretch if the line was out :(

other than that, we were able to visit the greek district, the cool/famous street(s) with all the shops (i forget what it was called), the stadium area, & the brewery district - all from that red line (and a subway to get there). i really enjoyed it : D

i think that is a really smart idea as a transition. not having parking minimums within x meters of public transit is a great start because a lot of public transit is shit in usa (no funding, etc).

i hate being forced into owning a car in my neighborhood and wish i didnt need one for basic everyday things, but if there were no parking minimums where i live then it would be a shitshow while waiting for some kind of public transit to never be built.

after starting to print d&d miniatures, i switched from fff to resin printing; i have not looked back. the increase in fidelity between fff and resin is unfathomable.
