I had quite a conservative upbringing, and considered myself a conservative when I was a very young adult. But I never would have thought that one person was more important than my own beliefs. We are supposed to live in a representative democracy, where if one politician is disgraced, then you boot him to the curb, and go root around in the trash bin for the next politician. It’s not like there’s a shortage of politicians.

It won’t release on Tuesday. Not because of any kind of cover up, but because it’s only in the House right now. If on Tuesday the House votes to release it… It goes to the Senate. And they won’t vote on it that same day. There is no “if” it releases on Tuesday because there is literally no route for that to happen. And even moving forward, it’s extremely unlikely to ever get released this way.

If I’m not mistaken, the idea is to give a direct order to the Justice Department to release the files; they don’t need to go to the Senate or through Trump’s office. That’s why they’re so nervous in the government; otherwise, what would be the point of seeing Trump acting crazy about it?

There is nothing special about this bill that would make it go straight from the House to the Justice Department. It still has to go through the Senate and be signed into law by the president before it takes effect.
