Solarpunk noooo
It’s reached a point where the government is pushing for websites to card you before you can enter.
Women apps were giving data so the government can arrest women for abortion-like behavior.
We’re already at the point where privacy/anonymity is the only way to visit the internet.
Appreciate this.
That’s how classic Reddit was for me.
Mods who are extremely rigid to the rules had to exist when the spammers went crazy. But with smaller communities, modding should be based on vibes. You get better conversations that way.
Honestly that sounds great. I’m kind of annoyed how often NordVPN keeps emailing me and trying to upsell me on the daily.
The service is fine overall. But the nonstop promotion, along with it being a US company that can easily just give all their info to the US government, makes me wanting to switch pronto.
I’m just saying the vaccine to cure zombification is more dangerous than the zombie bite! I could get autism or something!
I like it. Let’s do that. But then the twist happens.
The super fast super genius zombies get infected. And now they have to survive in a apocalyptic post-apocalyst. Directed by M Night.
Relatable.
Cat brain is a thing in my house.
Chromebooks went from “What is that?” To literally everywhere in schools.
Android phones are everywhere.
Google and the Chrome browser really ate into Microsoft’s dominance.
My business partner sometimes says some shit that while true, really stabs me in the heart.
His most recent one, “Ugh, there’s too many parents with sickly kids here. Let’s go to the VIP room.” (At the airport)
Like, I’m one of those sickly kids.
I used to believe a lot of things.
Newegg sold really good products.
Blizzard made good games.
America is the land of the free.
Things change. Anker rose to the top for low priced products that were good. And now that they’ve become bigger, their output might get worse.
If that money funnels to unemployed engineers to set it up… I’m all for it.
Take the money, do the work, jump ship.
Then they’ll go: “Source: my presentation from last year where I made up that number”
Free advertisement when you can get it right in their heads
Android users won’t have a choice after a while.
I didn’t want Google Now. Uninstalled it, and it’s back and updated. Been fighting for years.
Yeah only reason Apple hasn’t done it is because they haven’t figured out a way to connect it all to its ecosystem.
Like they say, the Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
I work in tech and I hate it when non-security people talk about it.
It’s really painful to read about “a new hack that can affect billions of accounts” from a source, only to learn its some new social phishing method.
Where I grew up, meter checkers were getting threatened with assault for writing up parking tickets.
The current city I’m in, the meter checkers never leave their cars. They take a photo of the offense, and mail their tickets.
It also depends if they want to enforce it.
A lot of things are illegal to do in the US but ignored, but someone has to actively enforce it. Which is a police problem on its own.
That’s legal just don’t look at them or enjoy them.
Cameras. They fucking hate body cameras. When it clears them of wrongdoing, they have the video ready. When they ‘accidentally’ shoot a guy nine times in the back of the head, video seems to be missing.
Your pixel 5 didn’t just mysteriously die? There was a wave of them dying. Mine was part of the crossfire.
I loved the pixel 5 too, for like 3 years then mysteriously croaked.
Currently on the pixel 6 which is pretty good.
