Cycling x Solidarity's latest mutual aid effort takes cyclists on group rides through Pilsen and other neighborhoods to buy out tamale vendors so they can stay home as ICE agents swarm the city. They pass out the food to people in need.

    You can’t eat them all. Give them away. Socialized tamales is one big step to socialized housing and healthcare. Do it!

      Wouldn’t that result in the original owners being put out of business permanently… Possibly creating a cartel?

      You’ll need someone to audit the carts, and a mechanism of checks and balances so that person can’t be paid off.

    the largest amount of tamales i have purchased from a trunk at one time is ~20 (its usually out of a trunk instead of a cart around me). they were delicious, but 20 was a bad decision. share the wealth : D
