2. homeless statistics, accounts and even acknowledgement of their existence is hard to trust even in the most democratic societies simply because of the nature of homeless living. Homeless generally tend to avoid official looking people if they can.
3. propaganda abounds from every angle when it comes to homeless, propaganda built from within, for within. Propaganda built from within, for export. Propaganda from outside, for themselves. Propaganda from outside, built for us.
4. The odds of getting first hand experience from a homeless (or formerly) person in China, on Lenny is unrealistically small. A large portion of Chinese housed don’t have internet, let alone the homeless. What I can guarantee you is that it’s not like the homeless you see in the west. They’re not sitting outside of a Starbucks on a cell phone.

They actually teach about things like equity, credit score, mortgage rates, “clean coal”, pyramid schemes, civil rights, capitalism among many other topics that adults wouldn’t even bother with explaining. Archer is my hands down favorite. Even the 3 shit seasons are still better than most shows. I just love the clever (and not-so clever) wordplay and insults in that show, many of which you can’t say on the internet anymore. Which if you’re of a certain age, is baffling.

I never had a problem with any group, I am generally passively in support of people I don’t have much connection to. However before I had my child I started becoming more actively supportive simply because he COULD be. But even groups that my son can’t possibly be (minority for example) I’ve been supporting them more because the compassion in me is higher than it was. Like, I always cared, but I wasn’t as driven to care, if that makes sense?

The singer I was referring to was the singer from In This Moment, which I was comparing carpenter brut to, for reference. But yeah I’m definitely digging it as well as a few other artists I’ve never heard of on this playlist.

Just checked a few of his videos on you tube and I’d say leather teeth is my favorite and the closest to in this moments style.

In this moment leans heavier in the dark/nü metal stuff with a lot more lyrics. The singer has an absolutely angelic voice and then dives deep into a growl and switches back and forth often several times in one song. Her melodic voice is like a sirens call, hypnotizing you. Then she switches and you’re ankles are dragged to hell as she yells at you. It’s fucking amazing and I really hope she doesn’t kill her vocal cords doing that. It’s seriously hauntingly beautiful.

But after checking out a few of those videos, I gotta say thanks for your recommendation, it’s dope AF and I just made a new Pandora station thanks to you. 👍
