But while we’re talking about international rules, gene editing of embryos and their descendants is legal in the US if it’s privately funded. And it’s not illegal internationally to do so
Also, I’d be less worried about CRISPR specifically for this use, because it’s not always accurate, is limited in what it can actually do, and there are better gene editing tools now
