    I very much echo what others are saying in this thread, but I also see some use cases for it. It can be a more efficient “research” tool, but the tradeoff is not being able to have confidence in the results. I rarely use “AI”, but when i do, I always double-check the results. So its basically a net zero on efficiency.

    Then there’s the privacy issue. Nothing you ask it or reveal to it is private. Not that regular search engines are super private - but “AI” is designed to make people talk more.

    I saw my husband (who is a somewhat-regular user) ask it a question the other day, and I was really weirded and grossed out how he asked it a question like he was asking a real person a question. He noted that this format was the best way to get an answer, but like… no.
