Whenever I see a community as the top search result that isn’t on .world or .ml, I always appreciate it more for some reason
I’m proud of SDF.org but they do drop the ball a lot in regards to the lemmy instance. The mastodon service gets all the attention outside their core goals of public access to Unix. The biggest community is good and there’s a fun digital comic artist that does lots of great work
Does piefed count? I’m having a great time with the service and the main dev is a treasure.
I don’t mind having the communities on the big servers. Its fine as long as everyone is on fedi. We can all talk yo one another. Its great!
Lots of comments are being removed and people are said to be trolling on Lemmy.world and also Lemmy.ml.
I think moderators dont see the difference between actual trolling (where you try to wind up the other person, make him angry), and sticking to your unpopular opinion because you think its correct. Because it looks the same to the moderator.
So you dont see much unpopular opinions. Also the downvoting makes sure they are buried.
Sorry I really don’t see it. I’m still very much enjoying the community.
Yeah of course, not saying its bad. It can be very nice.
Are you asking if I am proud of .world and .ml?
If so, then definitely not
I think OP means of your instance’s larger communities.
To answer the question for myself, definitely. I love seeing federation in action (and bonus points if it’s a piefed or mbin community for federation across software)
