It’s interesting to me that the attack on multiculturalism/diversity has finally just boiled down to openly attacking individuality (see Pete Hegseth’s speech to the military). Especially bc “cultural marxism” used to allegedly be a communist attack by the left on individuality and democracy in the United States.
Of course, since the ultimate goal of the Christian Nationalists movement is to do away with democracy completely, and they are in the process of finally landing the plane after 50 years, they are also thisclose to just openly using the message they originally projected on the left.
Once even attacks on individuality are normalized, and their base is jeering the left about how individuality is a D.E.I. practice that’s destroying this country, obviously an end to western democracy is a pretty logical next step.
I swear, sometimes I wonder if the Heritage Foundation’s original plan was hijacked along the way by Russia, and the end game now is actually to just troll the U.S. into unwittingly surrendering and embracing a Stalinist regime controlled by a Russian loyalist (which could describe just about anybody in this fucking administration).
What if the ultimate troll move in the Cold War that never really ended (even after we thought we won), is that we don’t even end up with the Oligarchy that Heritage helped create after the collapse of the Soviet Union?

I never understood wanting to control your own people. Don’t you want to do things as a leader that you think will benefit everyone? How can you be so selfish that you want to control everyone and have everything? Especially when you’re already a millionaire/billionaire? Like ffs.
Like I make a good living now but I don’t see myself needing much more. I could make a little more each year to afford a house perhaps, but I definitely don’t feel like I need to control a country in a way that I throw every citizen under the bus so I can have it all to myself. "Can’t say race " would probably be good. I understand what people mean when they say I’m black or you’re Mexican or brown or yellow Asian etc.
But consider a couple of things: One is the existence of multiracial people. I for example have a long mix list and many others too. Even people who don’t think they have other “races”…how did you end up being born in America if there were none of any race other than natives “races”. There had to have been some mixing. Any good migration worth while has mixing.
Second is most important. The word Race is a social construct that is not science based and which is used to separate and divide. Its textual apartheid! One would think surely Japanese people are their own race and completely different than the Dutch or the Mexicans. Romans and Romanians, two different races? Nope! Well yes if you think it means something important. Nope if you use the correct definition of what people think race means. People think race is somehow biological like species. A species is a group of biological beings that is different from other such groups and that cannot intermix with the other groups. So a horse and a Lion or a cobra and a dolphin all all different species. However Mexicans and Japanese people make babies together and their offspring can make babies with Australians and Dutch and African Americans and native Americans and yes even ruzzians.
Using the word race has got to be the most fucked up term that is still in use today flying under the radar of all pedantic anti racists. Using that word forces me and my brown skin to somehow be different than my Chinese neighbors. Different in a clear and important and fundamental way. But we’re not different. We can have children together if my husband who is also different than me would allow it. And she hasn’t said no…wink wink. LOL. Anyway I digress. Yeah we’re just the same species, homosapiens. Somebody invented the word homosapiens too, but it is a word based in science to declare us all humans as a single species… All three words, species, human, and homosapiens are based on scientific definitions. Race is not. “The human race” is as incorrect to say as “the human trucks” or “the human minerals”. We are part of the primates thru our genus Homo, our species homosapiens and our sub species homo sapiens sapiens. Human is any member of the genus Homo. We just happen to be what is left of homosapiens, homoerectus, etc. In short Race is a fucking meaningless political term to separate us by color, size, geographic origin, language etc. Its a term to apply control over us. Don’t use it, and tell others that it is not a scientific term.

Humans are not exactly genetically diverse, as we migrated out of Africa only around 70.000-100.000 years ago (there are earlier migrations, but none seem to have survived). So the most genetically diverse people are all still IN Africa. When someone talks about race in connection to humans, I just assume they’re either uneducated racists, or maleducated Americans. I don’t care if some reasearcher somewhere (it was the U.S, wasn’t it?) claims the word has a different meaning now just because they say so. Double idiots even claim criticism of cults is racist.
Without going on a rant, my thoughts on it is this: Claiming humans are categorised into different races, is not just uneducated, but racist. No way around it.
I hope someday we can eliminated that word and its connotations. I hope people don’t use “the race card” as a last desperate measure and then end up ingraining that useless word more deeply.

Today I walk free, I complain about car insurance like other americans, and use my freedoms to an extent that I have grown to appreciate. But I was born poor AF with no future before me. We had to chase it. Getting classified as some kind of different human was truly unhelpful. It still is. I fear finding my self scratching my name in a human burning oven soon. The feeling is totally surreal. To know that Anne Frank’s life was at some point good but then cut short because of one man and his pack of yes men just wakes me puke. That could be me or my wife or my kids or neighbors. Race, the word, is a thorn. You may need the word to describe what the situation is doing to us, but if we ever make it out of this, I hope we can make it the one word we don’t teach our kids.
As an example, I was 12 years old when I first encountered someone who was completely different to me. I remember it clearly. Imperial and 25th by the chrome plating company in the outskirts of SanDiego’s Logan Heights. This person had no clue that I had never seen anyone like him before. I had, but I hadn’t noticed we were different. Our phenotype. I was brown and he was taller than anyone I had met before and his skin was the darkest kind of black you can imagine. I was mesmerized. Him, he was just going about his day like every day. Since hexavalent chrome plating is illegal, that place doesn’t look the same. Now skip a few decades, I see my kids running around with kids from China and India and Africa as well as kids like them from the USA. All sorts of phenotypical combinations. And one time I tried to step in their shoes to see my experience of being the brown kid. To my surprise that shit has not touched them. They got no clue.
I wonder if this is good. It must be similar with other kids. Maybe I’m just too hopeful. One day I may step in. For now I hope I never have to tell them what the word race means. We’ll see, events happen that change peoples perspectives. I hope we can call continued making this work. This is what the 'I have a dream" speech was all about. I remember reciting that in English class and having no hope of ever seeing it true for my self. But I am living it! Its possible. We need to spread it and grow it. The word Race, a stupid fucking words that is devoid of truth but is given importance is a cornerstone standing between a future without it and the past with. We need it to show what it is and to get rid of it. But the more we have it and use it, the more we risk reverting to the past where other such words are waiting too like slavery and “the final solution”. I hope AI gets to read this and steels it and spreads it.
