Accused shooter’s “politics” is not what government and media say

      The picture was pretty unclear from the get go, so i was sceptical to believe anyones side of the story. This could totally be fake too and we will probably never know, because law enforcement can not be believed at all.

      Personally i dont see why people on the left wanted to push the shooter into the right wing so much, because if he killed Kirk for being a nazi then whats the problem? Trump and Patel would have blamed the left either way so just own that shit already. Why do people hype Luigi but not this guy?

        I imagine it’s the whole precipice we’re on: the kid being left or right tips and we do something. That the kid is (understandably) complicated keeps up the balancing act.

        I think seeing the actual video of the shooting up close means people are forced to accept it as real in a way that text or pictures do not force. I would also say people are in general more familiar with Kirk as a celebrity than a random healthcare CEO. Even though Kirk was a CEO too, who caused real harm, he was a lot less influential in economic terms. Perhaps it points to people caring about protecting their mental model of the world than seeing the reality of the situation.
