    I don’t think having to post them means you have to believe them or pay attention to them, nor will the kids. Middle School is old enough to understand that not all laws make sense, that there are discriminatory rules.

    So just some talk or a note about where these come from, that it’s a state mandate explicitly designed to exclude and make people uncomfortable, and that it’s got nothing to do with your class so can be ignored seems fine.

      Great, now our teachers have to add “teach political literacy” to their job description right under “trained shooter”.

        I mean, it would help if someone had political literacy. Most of the adults don’t

          I think a social science teacher should do that at a time when it’s appropriate. At least before high school graduation.
