Took me 1 minute googling to find that meme. We need a culture of not fucking censoring memes on Lemmy. Fuck shit ass, by the way.
I’m so glad it’s not just me calling this stuff out and posting the uncensored shit. Some stuff should be censored in my view - you know, pro-Nazi stuff, that weird shit that encourages anorexia, that sort of stuff - but not dumb memes.

I usually am annoyed by this self censoring bs but in this instance it feels like it’s a meta joke on exactly this behavior.

I don’t know it just seems too on the nose, the ancient “expand the list” joke framework, picking a word that would become unintelligible when properly censored, then using the lazy censoring, censoring the first ass but leaving the second one untouched.
I am honestly not sure if it’s a joke or not, but it feels like one.
Edit: maybe I just wanted it to be a meta joke, because the “expand the list” thing has run its course for me by now. Seeing it with the censoring removed makes it less funny for me, like a minions meme or something
