Cats simply hate closed doors. They need to know what’s going on behind and why do you close them out. Most of the time ours don’t even follow in the bathroom, they simply stand in the door preventing you from closing it or keep one paw in the door. It’s like a little game of chasing for them.
Why? Why do all cats do this?
My wife’s theory is that the cat equates our bathroom time to us being ‘vulnerable’ and that they are just checking in on us to make sure we are okay.
