But I’ve gone and looked it up now and apparently Wally is a less common name over there, so they changed it up to something more familiar.
Which now begs the question: is Waldo a common name over there? I don’t think I’ve ever met or heard of anyone other than this character go by that name
I apologize. I keep reading comments like “why did you all vote for him”, so I’m quickly becoming jaded to comments at all Americans
But to answer your question, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone with either of those names. It’s a very old game, so Waldo might have been more popular of a name here a few decades ago

Be cause we switched around the do you put in Clue.
Because that’s what the books are called here. I assume you call him Wally for a very similar reason

It’s not common, no. But Wally is an almost unheard of name here. Waldo is much more common, comparatively.
He’s gonna build a Wally and make Mexico pay for it.
