Honestly if he went through multiple screenings for hate tattoos and they never caught it I can see where he didn’t know. There are a lot of symbols used by white supremacists and I can imagine someone accidentally wearing one if they don’t know much about them. There’s nothing in his platform that sounds nazi-ish, so I’m willing to believe him.
Yeah but most people who consider themselves socialist, are educated enough to see a skull logo like that and be like “hold up, let me do some googling”. Even if it’s years after he got it.
He said in the video it was gotten in 2007. Until I see evidence of him saying actual Nazi things like advocating for violence, holocaust denialism, admiration of authoritarianism/dictators, persecution of minorities or ethnicities, and other supremacist nationalist rhetoric I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

The thing is that types like @[email protected] would rather keep their self perviced purity clean. It is easy to wait for perfection when they are not being rounded up by ice, nor being starved in a siege. They might say things like “all war is class war” but not seem to realize that all war is dirty. Its hard to imagine that they have serious ideas and movements if they don’t even want to participate in local elections and minimize harm. If they put the amount of effort they do in discouraging voting into forming a third party they might have some electoral sway. Which would lend credibility to them being serious about building a parallel economy where people could escape capitalism, or that they would even show up to fight in some trenches (lord knows its hard to keep your shirt clean in those).
For the American people maybe. Same with Graham. But this harm reduction argument takes a nosedive when you factor in non American people which you consider subhuman.
