That all seems so american to me. In my lifetime i have seen one person fimling himself talking to a camera for a video. It was in a supermarket and when i walked into the isle awkwardly that he was in, he put his phone away.
That’s true in America too, I don’t really encounter people filming themselves like this. It’s just that there are a looooot of us, which means there are more weirdos as well.
Yeah admit you don’t see it most, only time I see people recording in public is with a tripod and that they are street performers
