In this episode of 1Dime Radio, Tony of 1Dime is joined by JT Chapman, the creator behind ⁨‪@SecondThought‬ the largest socialist YouTube channel at the moment, and The Deprogram Podcast (@thedeprogram9999 ). Almost completely backwards. These are people who are wrong far too late. It is shameful to defend mass-murder decades after it has been unequivocally proven by historians.

Which events are you talking about?

In my experience, people just apply the tankie label to those who don’t go along with the media story. Even when the tankies are pointing to source information.

So are you one of these people who rejects the historian consensus and claims the Bolsheviks and their allies did not commit mass murder? There are hundreds of examples we could discuss but how about the way they dealt with the Kronstadt rebellion.

Tankies always have a source, usually a 100-year old text written by some propagandist that “explains everything” but they refuse to point to a specific page or statement and instead demand that you need to read 600 pages and go hunting for whatever piece of information is supposed to be in there. Sorry, I don’t count that as a real source.

As far as the media—which media? “Socialist” media is gospel, western media is automatically rejected without any analysis. It’s cult thinking.
