  • Depends. I don’t have a baseline for how others my age feel.

Physically, it’s probably lame, but still: I often have lower back pain and neck pain. Neck especially in the morning, lower back later in the day. Then there’s psoriasis, a persisting flare-up on the back of my scalp that managed to resist prescription-strength corticosteroids. Tonsil stones I can’t fully get rid of that I have to push out often. They can get slightly painful if left alone for a few days otherwise. Most food I eat either results in constipation or diarrhea. My right hip sometimes starts popping and it can get pretty uncomfortable when walking a lot. If I have to lift up something heavy, I’ll be shaky afterwards for quite a while. Yesterday I found out that I seem to have external hemorrhoids. My teeth are fairly sensitive, and I had a filling done on one of them.

Mentally: I am still studying. After I finish, the 5 days a week of school will get replaced with 5 days of work. I’ll still likely have to cut time from my sleep. Who knows, I’ll possibly need a part time job anyway, because minimum wage in Slovakia is just EUR 4.70/h. So, I’ll still be cutting my sleep to 3 - 4 hours. Then on weekends I won’t feel like doing anything, and anyway, I’ll sleep through most of the Saturday. Or, work part-time on weekends.
Things will keep getting more expensive faster than the wages increase. I’ll still be sure to know that almost every purchase is sponsored by slavery and damage to the ecosystem because that’s cheaper. Our government will eventually try to merge Slovakia into Russia… somehow. I won’t be making enough to leave the country.
I’ll have too keep up with the miserable life for roughly 40 - 50 years, then my body will be very well unusable. I won’t have any money saved up and die homeless.
I do not see a possibility for change towards better. People find it easier to excuse the government, corporation, or even individual billionaire or other person with power than say a homeless person they seen steal half a bread from supermarket.
Society cannot be fixed, it can only go extinct. And we will, perhaps not so far into the future, as the short-term gains are always preferred.

Simply, I feel like I am done with life. There won’t be anything good enough. Sure, there will be good moments, but not enough to justify to myself being born. A good introduction to antinatalism. I will not create further life. Hell, I’ve heard from people they had kids so that someone will take care of them once they retire. Disgusting.

For the track, I am 19. Life is just waiting for death. I wish it could be shorter.

  • Oh, the other replies didn’t load for me at first. There’s also this:

Well, I’m sorry you guys are fighting about this. However, it has been my experience that if you don’t want him tracking you it’s because you’re going or doing something that makes him uncomfortable or there has been shadiness in the past. My question is why do you care if he knows where you are? If you’re not hiding anything or going against the boundaries set forth in your relationship what does it matter if he knows where you are? Yes i believe that by turning on your location and giving full access you will help with the location that it will show. It is not about being treated like a child but maybe more so of a safety or security reason. I promise you if you give into it and simply answer his questions without attitude and get him to understand that it’s not always accurate things will be better. When you’re in the car together have it on so he can see how accurate it is and maybe that’ll get him to realise how the system works. I promise you if you give into it for a little while he’ll not want to check it as much and will get bored and trust more. The arguing about it makes it look sketchy and there won’t be trust, which sounds like what you guys need. I am speaking from experience.

  • I use a laptop, so I iust put it to sleep. I only restart it when I do updates or when the system crashes. I also turn it off (when I remember to do so…) if I leave it unattended in untrustworthy environment due to encryption.

I also have a mini PC, but I only turn it on when needed, which isn’t often since I haven’t really figured out what to use it for. It’s running Linux Mint headless, because Mint fits my laziness. I can use it via Tailscale, but I don’t really know what to do with it. So far it’s been mostly useful with OpenWebRX, SDR++ server which also offers compression unlike RTL_TCP as well as being able to use any SDR++ supported SDR, and I also intended to use Navidrome on it as well. My intention was to just download full albums on there, rather than picking out individual songs, but I still have the urge to put all of it on my phone.

  • Well, probably my mistake calling it a plan, but it seems all of them are subscriptions at least. Even “pay as you go” cards I found have monthly payments.
It seems the cheapest was T-Mobile PayGo, but that got sold to Ultra Mobile. I don’t know what they offer though because there’s an infinite captcha on their website for me. But from Google preview it seems they still offer the $3/month PayGo.
