  • My ex-girlfriend worked at a restaurant and they had an annual staff party which was just a house party at the manager’s house. When we opened the door and started taking our shoes off one of the new server girls was shouting at the manager “Don’t call me Lonestar!” and he was like “Yeah whatever Lonestar” and she screamed at the top of her lungs “DON’T CALL ME FUCKING LONESTAR!!!” and shoved him hard, he fell backwards and landed on his ass and she screamed a battle cry and started punching holes in the drywall, busting up her knuckles and bleeding everywhere. We put our shoes back on and just left. She got fired

  • As 40 approached I started to feel it. Dad bod was developing, I was stationary with a desk job, drinking beer, eating like crap, poor sleep, back pain, sex drive disappearing, just generally heading downhill fast.

I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror, and decided to do something about it. Got a barbell and started researching about lifting. Started to enjoy it, and started to eat and sleep better to help my recovery from the workouts. Outgrew all of my clothes x2. Back pain seemed to disappear. Aches and pain seemed to fade away. I fell in love with the new routine, making gains, added more serious cardio, feeling and looking better than ever in my life

You can’t stop the march of time but you can definitely slow and reverse your decline to an extent. A lot of my suffering was due to my lifestyle and being under-muscled. Deadlifts gave me a dumptruck ass and strong back, which has nearly resolved my chronic back pain. It’s essential for a desk jockey in my opinion
