Why do you live so fast ?? Life is good to be slow … Clothes, social media, videos … Why not enjoy ??
Capitalism. Line must go up.

I want to believe this is real but it sounds too good to not be a meme. People ride trains as a hobby in Florida?? Pics (video) or it didn’t happen.
wank tank for the vehicle, wank tank yank for the zealots that drive them
Rallying our forces. Protests are where people get connected with organizations whose focus is to bring the working class into cohesive groups that are empowered through collective struggle to win better conditions. A protest makes it visible to everyone at the protest and all the regular working people who witness it, what they believe in as a collective and that none of them are anywhere near alone in feeling that way. They make it clear, both to the protesters and to the ruling class, how much strength there is in numbers and how deeply connected we are. It is a show of our forces and; even though I agree that protest is severely neutered under our current state of policing; when done correctly, it can still be a display of the numbers that we are willing and able to mobilize and even use to disrupt the system when doing so is strategically advantageous and agreed upon by the movement.
Of course, the ones done correctly are generally the ones that don’t get any media attention, if not deeply negative attention, precisely for all the reasons I stated. It is against the interests of the wealthy and ruling class for those to be viewed positively and widely publicized.
Oh, the reaction to these protests also makes it blindingly apparent where the loyalties of the ruling class lie, which is bound to wake a few people up along the way.
If nobody ever mobilizes, you quickly see people start to go doomer, believing nobody cares and there’s no possible way out of the situation because this is what we “chose”. This is a “democracy”, and this is what democracy gave us, so it must be correct. It’s much easier to gaslight the masses and normalize what is happening if they never see resistance to the popular narratives put up by powerful monied interests.
Man you should really talk to someone about this clear obsession you have with the sex lives of teenagers. It can’t be healthy to spend this much time thinking about it in this much detail.
Sharpies are made with alcohol-based ink, and alcohol happens to be the perfect solvent for cleaning up dried acrylic paints. So what’s really happening is the tip is getting gunked up with re-wetted paint.
I’d bet you could give the tips of those sharpies a brief soak in some isopropyl alcohol, and/or a firm wipe with a wash cloth or paper towel soaked in the isopropyl, and they could be somewhat recovered (assuming they have plenty of ink in the tank)
That being said, I still would not recommend this practice. Better off with a paint based marker or something.
Would be a lot easier if the DNC didn’t align with the Republicans to sabotage third party candidates at any level of office.
Liberals have any respect for people’s intelligence challenge: impossible
You make less than $2.13 an hour, the federal minimum tipped wage?
Energy is volatile, there’s only so much that can be done. Not every single fire is one that can be prevented beyond just not getting in the car in the first place (i.e. giving people a reasonable alternative via well maintained and affordable public transport.)
There’s only so much safeguarding you can do against the basic physics of storing enough high voltage energy to drive laps around your hometown in such a relatively small and locomotive package as an EV battery.
Yes, battery fires will happen sometimes, most frequently in an impact like this one, and they will burn long and hot until all the energy (fuel) is expended. The same thing would happen if you were to set a tank of gas on fire, since gas is another store of energy if a bit less volatile than live electricity. I am certain you will find examples of this with any EV OEM. That is why it is important for the occupants to be able to escape the vehicle, should that ever occur.
Fuck Tesla, their cars all suck squirrel nuts, the cybertruck most of all. All I’m saying is that a few battery fires involving an impact making the news does not prove there’s a statistically anomalous amount of battery fires with a particular brand.
Yes, Capitalism is a big conspiracy involving the capitalist class conspiring against the working class. Look at their class interests. They are and have always been quietly waging a class war.
Two pet theories I have about this
it is profitable for big chemical companies and whatever lobby makes the lawnmowers and weed whackers for everyone to have these big lawns that need to be maintained via mowing and pesticides. There are breeds other than bluegrass that don’t grow that tall, chiefly buffalo grass, with deeper roots that make it generally more healthy, less patchy, less susceptible to weeds, etc.
It is convenient for the ruling class that we have to do all this maintenance individually, leaving us less time (and wealth) to organize and build community/alternative modes of governance. Divide and conquer and all that.
OK I lied here’s a 3rd:
Other EV brands have handles that work when the battery goes haywire.
Jesus Christ. You’ve canvassed every fucking comment in this thread, and this one is actually doing what you want. Give them a break.
This is a great question to ask in a .ml community as I think they will be able to contextualize this a bit better for you, and I would be interested in what they say too. Cause I agree, I think identity politics (which I think is what you’re getting at here) is used especially by the ruling class as a way to look nominally progressive (or anti-progressive) and make people feel like they have a real choice in politics, but is ultimately damaging both to its own goals and to the overall political consciousness, in the ways you noted, by divorcing them from the material realities that create and perpetuate these divisions for all people in society. I think that in either direction, they are pushed as a means to distract from the root causes of those issues (which is all the better for a ruling class that benefits from this social order), which if addressed would be a much more equitable way of dealing with them and far more difficult for criticism to take hold.
I think people would see that we have far more in common than not if we weren’t constantly pitted against each other to compete for resources that are only made scarce for the sake of profit and austerity.
CRT though, in actuality, is precisely what you are talking about. It is a school of thought that analyzes racial inequalities in the context of history and critiqueing the ways that they are perpetuated in our society. It became a buzzword because conservative media made it into one totally divorced from its original context.
YouTube. I’ll see if I can find it in my google history or something.
Man there was a video a while back about how echo chambers are actually probably not a huge factor in polarization in and of themselves, but that people are actually polarized when they encounter opinions in ways that drive them away from those opinions. Wish I could find it, it was really compelling and I can’t do the topic justice.
CeraVe always burns my skin and makes it all scaly and flaky by the next day, which is weird cause I don’t have a history of sensitive skin but I also have not yet ruled out that other products could be causing this sensitivity.
Had a good experience with Curél Ultra Healing lotion* however and when my skin is real sensitive, Vanicream always does the trick in moisturizing while giving my skin a chance to heal. Can vouch for the Vanicream cleanser as well.
*upon further research this is apparently a hand and body lotion lol but it’s non-greasy, non-comedogenic, with their ceramide complex and it works!! so w/e. The 1oz tube I got from dollar tree does not say where you are meant to use it and genuinely looks like a facial lotion 😆
Aliexpress. It’s the same shit.
I have a few specialty storefronts I’ll go to for specific items.
