But where do you think the money in your pension fund lies? Even this isn’t making a dent on the elite.
Many think that Windhund/vinthund is referring to wind (sighthounds are fast), but it’s most likely folk etymology. It’s believed the name most likely originated in lower German from the Wends - as sighthounds were mainly known from that region at the time.
I think the lack of profile-wide “karma” is one benefit, so there’s not as much incentive to farm imaginary internet points and such with the same old zingers. Who knows, but hopefully not.
How many of those thousands are actual good comments though? Last time I was there, I swear the majority of comments were from bots reposting the same comments that were in previous threads. It felt peak dead-internet.
Finland ended homelessness in Finland. It doesn’t exist there.
There are over 3000 unhoused in Finland. Which is great progress, thanks to Housing First… but the fight isn’t over.
there’s always a reason for why things are the way they are
Of course, no one is saying that the Danes were so drunk that they simply wanted to make their numbering so much different than everyone else. The problem is that they don’t want to change it, probably because “it has always been this way” or something.
Even Norwegian, which was historically more like Danish, changed to using “normal” counting in the 1950s. So it can be done, but Danes seemingly don’t want to change, despite the fact it makes their language harder to learn/use.

Meh, I guess I’ve been at much more humane workplaces, where it feels nicer to get my work done efficiently and then no one cares if I leave much earlier.
What a horrible pipeline you have. There’s surely some way you could speed up that process?
That probably wouldn’t pass the float test though, right? I wouldn’t risk it after that long, but I’m glad you didn’t get sick.
The USDA’s website says that eggs are “washed and refrigerated in Canada, Japan, and Scandinavia”, but that’s a lie regarding Scandinavia in any case (I’m an egg enthusiast btw)… so I wouldn’t be surprised they’re lying about Japan as well.
It was already difficult enough to undo bra hooks, but now you can watch 6 unskipable ads instead and it’ll release itself automatically. Much profit indeed.
Electrical work in Sweden shall be done by an electrician as well, but we just have the plug on the ceiling, so it’s not as ugly (the base of the hanging lamp hides it).
Norway has so many inane rules. If they didn’t have oil, their country would have shut down decades ago.
Why don’t other cars suffer the same fate as often?
So the business still got your money? I guess it’s a difficult decision when one’s hungry.
If I was your boss, I’d be more angry that you have the calendar set to September!
Wuphf!
Another side is that you’re also bound to their agreement. If the law firm was too soft on them, tough luck.
In an ideal world, we’d have government agencies prosecuting illegal stuff (and putting huge fines back into the economy) instead of hoping that private law firms will do a class action, but oh well.
