That is until the next instance is overwhelmed by all these migrating users. IMO, this view is a little short-sighted.

I wouldn’t worry about the longevity, but the growth might be limited. We want free and quality services, but clearly large social media require much more effort than volunteers can provide - we’ve seen this too many times already.
