I wholeheartedly and respectfully disagree. Social media focuses on following individuals, not topics. There is no incentive to follow or be followed on a forum, and being pseudonymous really kills the “social network” part of that definition.

That might be true if any human could reasonably ask a question there now. Ask a question, and you are likely going to see it removed for a variety of reasons.
It will likely take months, but I’m gonna try. I might give up before it is done, though.
A simple thing that may help a lot is for all new accounts to be flagged as bots, requiring opt out of the status for normal users. It’s a small thing, but any barrier is one more step a bot farm has to overcome.
