My, my. Look at all the open source, privacy focused period trackers in the Fdroid store.
There’s a good chance another seagull ate the body before it was even cold.
Can’t happen fast enough.
I’ve nodded some small but active enough to need real coverage subs on reddit. It’s a real job. People are too weird to self-moderate.
It was my first Lemmy love.
All us babies here smoking cigars and betting on horses like some Fediverse Baby Herman army.
Uh…I mean 225 backup plans! Yeah.
And 2 to 5 backup plans.
Taylor Lorenz had a great interview with Eric Goldman on Power User about specifically why this literally accomplishes anything but protecting kids. It’s just cramming a surveillance state into Web 2.0 platforms, and will likely have worse outcomes on kids overall.
Caffeine is the only positive codependent addiction ever recorded.
Yes, but no one checks the legality of cheap Chinese devices from Amazon.
Shodan.io is the searchable index of open IoT devices.
Change the default password, people!
Expert difficulty: it’s also cold and raining outside. There’s no food or coffee available once you get up, you have to go to the store.
“I lost the escape room, but I started a hunger strike to protest… I dunno, pick something for me.”
Not me, but my spouse. I love all the rugs they pick, we always agree, but I can’t match or really even understand the excitement.
But if it’s shopping for food in an open green market, sign me the fuck up.
Indeed I did! Thanks

In 1282 AD, an accord followed the disaster later recounted as the Pied Piper of Hamelin myth, in which a warg working with the demonic entity we now call the “Tooth Fairy” walked 200 children off a cliff simply to collect their fresh teeth to fuel their evil orgies. Duke Albert II of Saxony hired a shaman and witch to force a détant with the demon as a response. After some haggling, which cost one advisor his jaw, the demon agreed to effectively scavenge from the local townspeople in the night in exchange for a ceremonial pittance, often a handful of grain or a piece of fruit.
The demon, now overwhelmed by the sheer volume of teeth lost on a daily basis by 7.5 billion people, is doing great 750 years later, playing the long game to success.
Even under the GDPR, an employer can monitor you camera, mic, and keystrokes of they really want on a work device.
Seriously, no one is entitled to unlimited personal use, and explicit trust, of a work device. It’s a work-owned device, it’s not your shit! This isn’t hard. They give you the same “click/sign here” for a use policy that any social media site gives you (900 pages shorter). No one should be upset by this unless they are already behind the curve in general, or are pushing fake outrage.
Sorry if it seemed smug at all. The “My my” was more being happy that the Fdroid app repo is pulling it’s weight and a valuable resource that fascists seem to over look.
