Citing a single sentence in a public posting is most likely fine, citing an entire paragraph is probably fine, too, but an entire chapter would probably be pushing it too far. And when in doubt a judge must decide how far you can go before infringing copyright. There are good arguments to be made that just buying a book doesn’t grant the right to train commercial AI models with it.

I can only recommend against buying Xiaomi phones because they are shitty by design. My parents have Xiaomi phones and there are ads everywhere, including in the standard system apps.

For example: The vanilla files app is hidden and you can only use it if you know what you’re doing and dig it up. Instead you have Xiaomi’s file manager app that not only lacks many features, but has the audacity to be infested with apps. When you start the app, you will get a full screen ad and can only continue to the proper app after a few seconds and even then there are banner ads still.

If you install apps manually from apks, some Xiaomi app scanner launches to scan the apk. I doubt the scanner is effective or does anything useful, but it’s yet another opportunity to show full screen ads.

To be fair, Germany is still far better off than the US or some other European countries. In the national election that just happened, the far right party won about 20% of the votes and the (traditionally) centre-right party won while moving further to the right. That said they’re still about as far right as the Democrats in the US.

It’s just that Germans are on alert about the rise of fascism and are raising the alarm bells now, before the fascist actually take over control.

I don’t get the point. Framework laptops are interesting because they are modular but for desktop PCs that’s the default. And Framework’s PCs are less modular than a standard PC because the RAM is soldered
