I love the idea, but until stuff simplifies significantly that’s simply not happening. I’m a moderately technical person and all the self hosting options are such a chore. Even simply looking up info about them can sometimes be harder than installing and starting the centralized option.
it’s like every Tesla accident I hear about is FSD related.
I mean, that just kinda makes sense. Regular accidents aren’t really newsworthy. Even if they are, it tends not to be worth mentioning what manufacturer the car is.
Twice now they’ve lost against Trump by not giving people what they wanted.
My point is simply “being more popular than Trump isn’t particularly meaningful”. Maybe she was popular, or maybe she was “better than him” to most people.
Getting more votes than Trump doesn’t really mean she was “popular”, people were just willing to vote for her against him.
Thank you for being rational here. It drives me bonkers how many people try to act like Linux is “just as easy” as windows. Like, yeah, to some degree it’s getting used to the differences, but there are definitely considerations and complexities that you simply don’t have to worry about with a windows machine.
As a relatively recent convert, I can say it was easier than I was expecting, but it was not “just as easy” as installing windows. It took more time to set up all the extra bits I needed/wanted, and I’m still not fully set up the way I’d like to be.
Eh. Unless they do ranked choice, getting energized after the primary is just trying hard to split the vote. He should get energized… for next election.
Not just UI, but simplicity of operation. The closer to “it just works” a system/program is, the more palatable it is to adopt.
Honestly solar panels and electric cars. I know those existed over 15 years ago, but they weren’t serious market options until like 5 or so years ago.
It’s a red flag to those who think you’re going to share internal info.
It feels like there could/should be a good modern chat protocol and voice protocol and you just pick which interface you want to use, much like email currently does, except for chatrooms.
Yup. Infuriating. I can’t remember how many times I saw a thread of someone asking my version of a question that was then closed as duplicate linking to an older one that wasn’t the right version and therefore the fix was irrelevant or at least not best practice anymore.
Not just keylogger. It’s a screenlogger too.
I wager the word “radio” also helps. Early 1900s would have had plenty of radio broadcasts being “the thing” going on, so that word probably helps prime the interpretation, even if not used in quite the same way.
Instead of explaining what you mean, you’re just going to casually suggest they read a roughly 500 page book and hope that clears it up for them?
Bro how out of touch with your colleagues do you have to be to not know it’s AI. Have you literally never heard someone around you talk about it? No one on TV? You’ve never said it aloud to someone who corrected you?
It’s mostly my penchant for longer passwords in general. I did not plan to swap up strategies for my personal PC login account. Seeing microsoft demand a shorter password than I use almost everywhere else was… not promising.
Basically. It’s essentially a full-on sentence and last time I looked, Microsoft allowed about half the character length.
I can think of a few ways to do that too
