They already have their estate (money, properties, etc) in a trust fund. When the current beneficiary dies the trust has a secondary beneficiary listed. There is no inheritance tax, the next person in line just gets access (the benefits) to the trust. If that beneficiary dies, the next person on the list just gets the benefits of the trust.

Generally speaking who ever is the current beneficiary lists who gets it after them. Kind of like how we do a will.

There is no reason to be petty. This is just parents looking out for their son. 18 years of child support is a ton of money, and that’s if the kid is healthy. If there is medical issues the amount jumps significantly if you are in the US.

Yeah, times changed and things change. And yes, relationships are good. But why would I date somebody who makes so little money that they can barely feed themselves? All that does at the end of the day means I’m basically Support them and not really be able to add to my retirement fund or any of the other things that I’ve listed.

Maybe in your country, the government supports you when you stop working. In the United States they don’t. You don’t have enough money to retire on and you are well and truly fucked. Please don’t even try to say oh but you have Social Security, Social Security with the way it’s going probably won’t exist by the time I go to retire.
