A tip for those going to carve pumpkins this year, make your hole to scoop out the insides from the bottom. Not only will it look nicer but you can easily put it right on top of a candle instead of trying to balance it inside the pumpkin.

Its also possible to give your body to sports and go for free like I did. Doesn’t mean everyone is going to be able to do that.

There are also people out there who give their all and don’t get accepted into the college that would be best for the financially. I’ve seen and and helped console them after they freaked out about having to pay a bunch more. I think the problem is student loans and those that benefit from praying on 18 year olds trying to make the “right” decision

But it all brings it back to why can most every other developed nation send their students to University for practically free and still have people living comfortably even though they have to pay taxes for it, but its too hard for the US to do it?

Just because you know some people that got through unscathed, doesn’t mean there isnt a greater problem.

But I woulda thought your degree would have taught you about survivorship bias

Luck

get accepted into colleges that offered them favorable terms

Luck

pay off their debts without issue and live upper-middle-class lifestyles

Luck

So as long as you live close enough to commute from your parents house, get to live there for free or real cheap, and jump through the hoops and hurdles without any issues, you too can get by relatively cheap!

Everybody else can get fucked cause this person was one of the lucky ones!

Also, make sure you go to what is considered one of the more affordable universities while living in that state for over a year before hand!

So the $98,000 it costs for an in-state student to go to my nearest local state college for 4 years is fairly set by the state? What about the $101,000 for the next closest.

That seems totally fair, right?

So because you know a couple people who maybe didnt make the best decisions, forget everybody else. How many students who take out those high loans go on to become something useful and needed by society. Cause the people I know that took out that much mostly went on the become doctor’s.

That’s an argument for the government to help college students less, not to help them more.

Yes cause the students have the power to set the prices. It’s the loan givers dealing with the universities that keep driving up prices. If the government was to step in and say we’re only paying this much the prices wouldn’t be so exorbitant. You know, like the other developed countries do.

Cause it not like the loans are predatory or anything. Cause its not like the prices keep going up cause the loans keep giving more and more.

Crazy how the rest of the developed nations can send thier young adults to school for basically free but its too hard for the US.

Only like 12 years or so from what I’ve heard though. Worst part is I dont even know how old he is. Technically I dont even know if its a him but I haven’t found any eggs yet haha.

The people I saved him from opened their door and handed me the cage and a bit of food. Couldn’t even get his former name so I renamed him unless by slim chance they also called him Wilson haha

My family used to have a bird when I was growing up. A parrot that would bite everyone. Only if you let it bite you enough would it start to let you hold it, but even then it would randomly bite you. Made me never want a bird again.

But after my parents passed I moved into an apartment complex with our dogs. And when I woild walk the dogs I would pass by this bird that was always outside on someones second story patio. Not only always outside, but in a small cage, barely any toys, never covered, and kept underneath LED light straps that never got turned off. Plus, the patio was facing the only open field in the place so it had no nearby friends or cover from the wind.

I woukd walk by and whistle; eventually it leaned my whistles and would call them back. Figured it would give him some stimulation at least. And I knew it deserved a better life, but there was no way I would take it as ive had the previous bird and it didn’t go well. But eventually winter came, and still the bird was outside, uncovered, and underneath the lights.

So I ended up writing a note and leaving it on their door asking to have the bird since it was one of the only things besides my dogs that brought me joy. And eventually they texted me saying I could come grab him.

Well, this bird is amazing. I was hoping he would maybe just chill on my shoulder from time to time, but he loves to hang out there. Plus I can rub his neck and he’ll close his eyes in comfort. And I give him showers. And he loves chewing paper. He eats seeds I crack from my mouth. I bought him a backpack so he can come on walks with us or go to fairs and stuff like that

Not only is he a stable part of my family, but a few people i know have bought birds of thier own because they love him so much

All this to say, you really dont know what the future will bring. Even if you say you really dont want something, life may bring it to you in a way that makes you question why you were so scared to begin with.

An alternative the front crawl is the doggy paddle. Kinda the same, but saves you from taking your hands out of the water. Even as someone who’s swam my whole life and can swim pretty much any stroke I still doggy paddle a lot especially in salty water
