Seriously Firefox include many services, specifying the TOS for the entire browser is stupid.
What is worse is that people are asking for clarification and there is no response from Mozilla:
https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/commit/d459addab846d8144b61939b7f4310eb80c5470e
They mean there stupid services such as sync and ai, but the idiots who wrote this should have clarified that this doesn’t encompass the browser. They do require your data to provide those afterall.
The way it is worded is just bad they shoudl have specified services that need data like ai in the wording:
When you upload or input information through Firefox, you hereby grant us a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that information to help you navigate, experience, and interact with online content as you indicate with your use of Firefox.
I think they mean Mozilla services such as ai, sync, etc. The browser itself probably doesn’t fall under it.
Firefox “never has and never will” sell your personal data was removed.

It was moved here, but there is no never will: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/privacy/faq
It seems like every company on the web is buying and selling my data. You’re probably no different.
Mozilla doesn’t sell data about you, and we don’t buy data about you.
I think the future of the internet is darknets for example Veilid.
This is the same hacker group that performed the Bangladesh Bank robbery, that attack the almost stole 1 billion, the only reason they got flagged was a typo. They did manage to steal 81 million though. Byebit does seem to have bad security though compared to Bangladesh bank.
Even regular banks can be hacked, this isn’t just a crypto issue. Same group that hacked byebit also is responsible for the below:
I hope so too, twitter is awful.
It is pretty obvious why they are doing this though, but it also means you don’t own them, you are renting them.

DRM removal from Kindles from 2024 doesn’t seem to work, that is why they are removing it.
It is very easy to remove DRM from kindle Books, but since you will not be avle to download them it will not be possible anymore.
They do have other ways such as SMS if it is critical, but most people simply share the twitter link via WhatsApp and you can be more updated by using twitter. Most people haven’t moved to Bluesky or Mastodon, so if there is flooding or heavy rain most people will share updates on their location via twitter and WhatsApp like for example flooded streets.
I don’t think it is a good idea to block twitter completely. Some countries use twitter for official announcements, including emergency warning.
It keeps getting reposted, it was on mildly infuriating. I am pretty sure I saw it on reddit too. The text chnages every time though.
I don’t think reposting is bad though, as long as sufficient time is given, it is fine to repost. I think this might be the first time on shitpost though.

This was posted before on mildly infuriating, Lemmy is becoming like reddit.
From my experience they almsot never reply, it is better to make a new account using vpn rather than trying to get unbanned.
A good example is the Usenet community, in Lemmy there is barely any activity, on reddit people post at least once a week.
I had multiple accounts suddenly they all got system error, which in Reddit means you are banned. They couldn’t be bothered to implement a notification system to inform the users they were banned.
Celling cell phones is indeed profitable.
