  • It’s a very personal decision and I’m glad about every human that’s not born on this crowded planet. But collectively not having children feels pretty bleak to me. Are we as a species already giving up, rolling on our backs and wait to go extinct? Come on! There is so much beauty and so much to do in this world.
My children are having a great time, they bring joy, purpose and chaos to my life. I love having them around, even though their future scares me. That has always been part of becoming a parent.
I feel like some doomer lemmings need to go outside a little more, instead of telling themselves and their screens how awful everything is. Life was brutal a century ago.

Lab meat is a distraction to keep consumers from changing their ways. Like hydrogen for Big Oil, they keep telling us that this technology will have a great impact … in the future! Until then, we don’t need to worry and just continue giving dirty money for a destructive product to an evil industry. All while alternatives in form of plant based meat / solar are getting better and cheaper by the minute.
Seriously, did you try plant meats in the past months? There is no need to wait for lab grown meat anymore. Just buy plant based alternatives and get used to a food that tastes mostly like the animal tissue you’re accustomed to.

  • Off-topic:
I’m always tempted to write it out. The word is in everybody’s mind while we read the text. It gets so powerful if people decide to talk around it. But if the context is not hurtful, it’s just a word. Nothing happens. It becomes an insult if the mind of the one who says it or the one who reads it decides to make it one.
Plus the assholes who use it as a slur will say it anyway. We’re not achieving anything by erasing it from our bubble.
Well, that’s what I think about it. :)

  • This is so strange of you start to think about it: A whole country decided to ask about your feelings, which is a super deep question. But it doesn’t accept anything other than “fine”. Like, you are not greeting someone by wishing them well, or peace or welcoming them, but by demanding a fixed fake answer that everything is offs. It makes the one who greets look like they care. But they usually do not. So every conversation has to start with a lie by the person who was greeted first.
