I think a parent should financially support their kids as long as they want to and are comfortable to. With the caveat that giving too much support can delay some kids from gaining financial independence. Personally what I plan on doing is “cutting off” my kids at 18 but giving generous financial gifts for birthdays and Christmas. And of course supporting them if they ask in times of need. Also if my kids work full time and live at home they will pay “rent” that I will put in a high yield savings then gift back to them as a down payment for their home when the time comes. We already sock away money each month in their college savings accounts so if I can save them those expenses I will be blessed as a parent

Hello Fresh is very good in the US. At least in the Midwest, their distribution is solid and I rarely have problems with orders. It’s just too expensive, but that’s true for anything

Is this some sort of misguided patriotism? I don’t see what the propaganda we are supposedly falling for is. Is it not as equally accurate to say that public opinion and outcry led to it not coming to a vote? I think keeping that public outcry is important to defeat future attempts to undermine rights. Don’t think it can’t happen in the EU. It’s happening if the US
Poochy on his way back to his home planet
I’ll be honest I thought OP was talking about murdering people and taking their scalps. Probably more noble than seeking out others guidance on rent seeking, no value added, middle man behavior though

How about the USA adopts instead? How about that, Tim apple?

Having a software authentication that can hold multiple keys for MFA. I’d love to switch to a dumb phone but that’s pretty much a requirement and I’ve never found a device for MFA that is as convenient for MFA

No, the fedi is still mostly tech/privacy enthusiasts which doesn’t really describe her.

I can’t say I related to your specific situation but the world you describe doesn’t look like the world I live in at all.
Definitely seek therapy and learn how to accept and love yourself. It reads like you have some self-loathing based off your upbringing that you are projecting onto others when it’s really not the reality

I think it’s a loss of talent and shuttering of shows across his company’s channels that are leading it. I can only watch so many “reporting verbatim the benchmark results of new tech product” or “I made my family a sleeper desk” or “dark horse home theater for my kid” videos. I’d much rather watch the highly produced “Mac Address” videos with Jonathan or retro gaming systems and setups videos with Anthony but they aren’t a part of LMG anymore.
Riley is doing well on tech linked but he’s talented enough to get a real job and after that, what’s the last interesting thing that LMG has? WAN show clips?
I would be fine with an 8k TV if there was 8k content and they were affordable. I haven’t purchased a TV in over a decade however and my TVs all work fine so I’m not even in the market
If you have to ask for advice for having a child don’t. Don’t bring a child into this world unless you are 100% all in regardless of what others (besides your partner of course) say.
The child has no say in being born, so the parents should be 100% ready for it. Anything less isn’t fair to him or her.

They can’t be happy. The whole platform is to take the country back to before all of society started conspiring against the poor republican voter.
The big lie is that the dog can never catch the car because it isn’t trans people or immigrants or minorities that are oppressing republicans. It’s their politicians, the corruption that is ingrained into the system, and the rich that fight to keep the system rigged that are oppressing them and clearly republicans will never fix that

Lemmy is pretty anti-AI. Or at least the communities I follow are. I haven’t seen anyone blame the kid or the parents near as much as people rightfully attributing it to OpenAI or ChatGPT. edit- that is until I scrolled down on this thread. Depressing
When someone encourages a person to suicide, they are rightfully reviled. The same should be true of AI

The dichotomy between the left and right on these kind of issues are probably more economic than anything else.
The people I know that freaked out about these sort of things were typically maga types. Lower income, lower education, and relied on social media for all kinds of news, human contact, and such.
Meanwhile most liberals and conservatives that didn’t, lived more comfortably with higher career and education levels. This isn’t even really a left wing vs right wing kind of thing. Even the conservatives I knew that had higher education and career accomplishment freaked less out about Covid and social media “censorship” too because they could just do without.
If you can live comfortably and it doesn’t affect your living, you tend to not rock the boat

Greed (personal enrichment) is typically a reason a lot of religious leaders push hate so getting rid of greed gets rid of some (but not close to all) religious extremism.
That seems like the best choice as getting rid of religious extremism gets rid of some hate but still leaves us in the same greedy society

Missisippi lawmakers are too idiotic to know what the reducers is and their law enforcement is too busy to learn what a fediverse is to enforce it
What’s the problem?
