You don’t think air force bases have these things ready to go? Or use them for their own reasons?
Ya’ll if you had one tenth the imagination and creativity to think of good ideas as you do bad ones the world would be a much better place.

Don’t forget their police who don’t have any kind of proper training so precincts have to find training on their own, which often leads to some pretty fucked up stuff. Themes will likely include making cops feel less like community protectors and more like “warriors” who are closer to Batman than real, engaged community support. Also those same cops have one helluva rate of domestic violence.
And then they’ll see people say stuff like that and start calling out corrupt police in some of the worst places on Earth as if the “greatest country” should be proud of clearing the lowest bar. It’s maddening because you can’t even talk to them without them getting hyper-defensive and angry.
And that 8th day will absolutely be a working day for reasons.
And to continue your real life event thing, even just going outside and watching something happen can help get the ball rolling. It won’t be quite the same, like you said, but it won’t at all be a waste of time. Even going for a regular walk in a somewhat busy area can help, especially if you get to say high to a dog or something(which plays into your interaction thing).
They would be worried about their own Nazis more if that were the case. I’ll take the help but lord they are not ok right now.
Yea, we’ve all gotten so used to online shopping that we’ve forgotten what we’re allowed to do when it comes to local stores. I even worked retail in a motorcycle shop selling gear and ordered stuff from suppliers all the time.
What are you talking about? Of course we do, all the time.
To be honest, since most places ship from their physical locations(which may not have stock or carry something at all due to demand) and Amazon’s incredibly predatory practices it means that they are pretty much the only option. I’ve gotten stuff from Etsy as well(but it doesn’t help for, like, water filters and certain appliance parts), and I really have always tried to avoid Amazon, but there are just some things where they’re the only ones where I can buy some of this stuff.
And like I said, I’m gunna have to just start asking outright for stuff even if whatever store doesn’t carry it normally. It’ll take some patience but I’ll live.
People gotta start working the hours they’re paid for. If I’m working my shift well then it’s not my fault that the company is understaffed and I am not gunna bust my ass to cover for someone’s poor leadership.
There actually are things that one just cannot find elsewhere easily, and most of the places that reliably carry them locally are places like Walmart which aren’t better. That said, it’s always the very last place I look.
With all this nonsense I’m going to start asking local stores if they can order stuff for me, though, and just be extra patient. For example, it’s wild how little there is for mandolins at local music stores but at least the British strings I’m going to try switching to are there so that’s something.
Like the other person said, you can at least control what you interact with directly. So you cancel your Prime subscription and turn your lights with your hand instead of an Echo but you don’t worry so much about trying to figure out if any of the several companies involved in making [product] have some form of attachment to AWS.
And there will be some level of consumption in this horrible system that’s not gunna be good in order for you to not be horribly depressed but people can shed more than they think and alternatives do exist for many of the ones you might put at lower priority.
That’s literally what a stereotype is, bro. I’m sorry, I didn’t realize I was speaking with an idiot, that’s my bad, I’ll let you go.
And I don’t think calling someone a perfect stereotype without any apparent justification leaves you with any legs to stand on, especially when you went first and how she looks has nothing to do with the post.
So you really don’t have anything for why you called her out on a sidewalk post, huh? And what were you trying to do calling cruel, have a friendly conversation?
Ok, buddy.
I’m a fairly generic looking person, we are more than our looks. She has nice glasses and isn’t unattractive or anything it’s just there’s basically nothing there to tell you where the picture is taken. There aren’t even visible brands anywhere.
Other than maybe being able to guess the pacific northwest based those maybe being barefoot shoes, which is still a reach, what else is there?
Also damn, going after me for being “cruel” while reducing her to a stereotype of her city? On a post about sidewalks I mean fuck, who asked you anyway?
I love car owners for that. It’s always “what about me? What about prioritizing me?”. My local community Facebook page is full of them, they are all so mad about the only bike lane in the neighbourhood and after the last snowfall(two huge ones back to back) they could only complain about not having their back alley and their sidewalk cleared like the city wasn’t scrambling to clear everything.
My car was trapped, too. As usual I just took the metro and had the barest amount of patience.
A fairly generic lady and that’s what you took from that guy’s comment?
When Odeh requested to know the titles of the seized books and the names of their authors, Malka responded: “I cannot answer. We will confront [the Munas] with the books when I receive authorization … It will take time to go through them, which is why we are here requesting a several-day extension of the [Munas’] detention … Most of the books are in Arabic, some are in English, and some in German. I can’t go through them one by one.”
They don’t even know what the books are about yet but they’re more than happy to bust down a business’ doors and arrest the owners because some books have a palestinian flag. I swear to god I hope these people experience only misery for the rest of their, hopefully short, lives.
Are you…threatening us? “Let us in or we’ll force our way in anyway”?
Good lord, go fuck yourself.
Wait, did they think the bathrooms were special and cost money? Many places just slap a paper “gender neutral” sign on their washrooms and call it a day until a nicer sign can come in. The really good places knew this shit ages ago and already saved themselves the trouble by putting in a shared sink area and having stalls with real doors. As someone who has literally had to fit washrooms into floor plans I can guarantee that if cost and ease were problems then we’d only have gender neutral washrooms.
