  • With their weight and the lower profile tires that come stock, and how they’re kinda just like regular cars but bigger in every way except where it counts, they really aren’t. Their single big advantage is the ground clearance but many actually have bodies that come surprisingly low. One the OG Ford Rangers would be great, but only if it had 4x4 because all those RWD only trucks, especially when they have nothing in the back, are essentially worthless due to the total lack of traction. They’re also super long, which makes maneuvering difficult in tight spaces so obstacles you could have gone around are now barriers you have go through. Besides, my BRZ doesn’t explode when it hits a pothole or touches a gravel road and in fact does quite well, even when it was lowered by an inch. Hilariously, unlike many vehicles the BRZ comes with a metal skid plate by default to protect the oil pan from the road.

Trucks and SUVs are terrible. Body on Frame vans and smaller unibody work vans are incredible but most people are too stupid and/or insecure and vain to buy them instead.

  • This guy checks all the boxes for the anti-christ, follows the Nazi playbook so close you can just tell he’s a fan, and now is just being the bad guys from 1984.

It’s incredible how much Republicans SCREAM that they are the evil ones, at the tops of their lungs, but their base refuses to listen.

  • Exactly yea lol

And honestly, I was giving them a little more than that but I’m still getting really frustrated at the abyssmal communication skills, both reading and writing, that I keep seeing on the internet these days. People will either make it your fault because they “meant something else” or take something absurdly clear like “I like the colour blue” and still somehow come to the conclusion that you actually hate all colour.

    It’s so tiring.

I went to the bathroom in a library once and I felt real weird about it but I doubt anyone really even noticed.

Alright since apparently this needs clarifying for a few people: I felt weird because in society today we don’t get to use the washroom in places without being customers. This made me feel weird about using the washroom at a library, but the people there likely didn’t even care.

  • Making eye contact is a good thing, even if you’re two pedestrians and the other donut isn’t paying attention to where they’re going.

I super agree with the “making it your identity” thing. I drive a sportscar and do all the repairs myself but I largely take public transit because it’s just objectively better almost every time. Meanwhile there are people who can barely stay in their lane and have no idea how the basics of their vehicle work yet they act like you’re talking about cutting away a piece of their soul when you suggest the concept of a protected bike lane beside a place where they can still use their car.

  • The issue I’m having is that yours is a country which sees the far right as something that will always exist with such power. I know the mechanics of it all, what I’m routinely shocked by is the back that the bar is on the floor and the country as a whole just cannot seem to get over it. The Democrats should not be the best you really have to offer, they should be your right-wing party and they should struggle but instead the USA handed a dictator the popular vote and a third of the place didn’t even participate either way.

It isn’t the existence of good people, it’s the complete domination by evil, or even just apathetic, people. I’m genuinely sorry that you’re suffering but, especially as a Canadian, it does not change my opinion about the landfill inferno that is the USA.

  • I feel less and less sad for people in the USA as time goes on because of exactly what you say. How did they not see it coming? HOOOOOW? And how did a third push for it, a third sorta try to help, and the other third maybe or maybe not just still doesn’t even know what’s happening?
