That’s interesting, I’d never heard of that before. I know that people who are aphantasic often still dream with vivid mental images, so, it like they aren’t able to access them consciously and maybe the triggers help you in a similar way.

I think there’s more than one kind of imagination. It’s like the opposite of ‘thinking outside the box’.
Theirs is more like ‘wow this box is big! I’m gonna get inside a smaller one’.
Do they need him to be alive? They can use him as long as he’s not rotting too obviously. I have a strong suspicion he already stinks.
Most people have an astounding lack of imagination. Its like they thing that things can’t get much worse because that would be too different to now…
Americans are struggling because of a lack of socialism, basically. They can’t do this and keep the hyper individualistic and selfish society they have now. Anyone reading this, look up libertarian socialism. Socialism can co-exist with capitalism and does so successfully in many countries. Make it happen in your state and who knows, you too could have the safety net needed to assert your democratic rights in a crisis.
This is why people need to band together. Yeah, its a kind of socialism. Here we have protests in the capital city and organisations run subsidised transport so you can get there very cheap or even free if you can’t afford anything. We’re suffering too, support each other.
That’s no reason not to try. Try while you can. Get organised. Use existing groups and band together, safety in numbers. How about the occupy wall St people? Trade unions? I think people are kind of in disbelief about what’s going on, but this is happening fast and it seems like there’s so little response.

I’m not sure what a begging ring is, the homeless people I see are usually obvious drug addicts, I donate to charities which help them rather than give cash. The reason they’re homeless is because there’s so little help for addictions and other mental health issues here now… Since the conservative regime after the 2008 crash it has been nothing but cruelty for the vulnerable and less fortunate. Our supposed left wing government is trying to beat fascism by being more fascist than the more obvious fascists. Soon they will make coliseums so that people can cheer while the vulnerable like asylum seekers are mauled by animals.
In the UK there are widely believed lies that homeless people actually have secret homes and they just go on the street to beg for money, then back to their homes to sleep. Makes no sense but people really believe it.
Yeah because the whole thing is completely invented and often coopted by evil, judgemental people.
Here, ‘just stop oil’ has been throwing beans at famous artworks for publicity. The art works are all behind glass so aren’t harmed. They then put it on social media. They also climb tall stuff and put up banners.
How about sponsoring people who have the time to go protest, hiring buses and setting up camps like occupy did? People who can’t go can chip in to fund it.
