Lots of companies have people dedicated to deciding at what point it is cheaper to ignore safety regulations and take the fines associated with their employees dying than it is to follow the safety regulations. Literally whichever makes more money they do it, they give zero shits about you. They will replace you in a heartbeat the MOMENT a machine can do your job for cheaper.
