Sounds like [email protected] might be a nice community to post this question to as well :)
Isn’t that very country/culture/field specific?
Come on OP, you are better than this. This is just a distasteful post.
Sorry can’t open the link; It requires reddit PRO /s

Just wanted to comment about that awesome instance name! Cool community too :)
Ah shit I forgot about “display name” since I’ve been using voyager app…
Yes, I believe this is the first scam/spam-to-private-mail bot that reached such a wide audience. On lemmy at least.
Been going on for quite a while now, but it’s difficult to block permanently since there are so many instances where they can make an account. Until they’ve used up all the nicole+instance domain names lol.
Might get a rare nicole if you do that
Well they do have their own instance: feddit.is
Yup. I was struggling with this for a month and had to escalate it with their customer service twice to get them to delete my account.
First time a service person told me they will delete it within 3 months, but I checked and they had not. Contacted them again and explained that I will let the local consumer protection services know if they don’t and they finally deleted my account (but who knows if they anonymized my data, they did say they don’t delete it)
Just a routine inspection and corrections on the road.
And is potentially even less secure if someone who has no idea about managing a server at all tries to spin up an online service.
Excellent addition, I agree!
That’s the criteria of many FOSS catalogue repositories: they won’t add any software that is not completely reproducible.
I’ve also been looking at FP but I believe there are some issues of getting one outside of Europe.
Thanks @[email protected] for filling OP in! I want to add a few things incase OP is unaware of more than just what you explained:
LLM = large language model, one of the types of AI. Examples: ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Meta’s LLaMA
Open-Source: the program code of the AI is available to look at, in its entirety
If you are not sure if you understand these terms and what frightful_hobgoblin said, then just assume whatever AI you are using is going to share your chat with the company behind it.
Quick answer: Don’t give any non-locally running non-opensource LLM’s sensitive info / private info.
I’ve been actually really enjoying this one. It’s got some nice tools like zip/unzip which I recall are not possible actions in google’s filemanager.
