Different states have different regulations, but almost all states prohibit their use on highways/interstates or use above certain speeds if not outright banning them from public roads.
Because of US import restrictions, they can’t realistically be imported unless they are >25 years old, and generally only Kei Trucks are imported.

Can’t beat confetti
I only use my kuru toga when writing in Japanese, I normally just use a pen for english. Japanese does have significantly more strokes.
Why write, when typing is faster? Even a phone keyboard is better than a pencil.
While this is certainly the case for english, it does not apply to every language. Especially those with a lot of characters like Japanese.
You also remember stuff better when writing it down, and some people just prefer it.

I used to use them too before I tried the kuru toga. It’s nice how cheap they are but still feel at least somewhat premium.
I just got photos off the internet, cropped them, and smashed them together in a docx.
