I was confused about the app installation process. I though Android as a whole was prohibiting any installation of non Play Store apps (other than using adb), and since Graphene uses an external app store, they needed to come with a workaround.

My point was that Graphene uses non Play Store software, including an app store. But what I underestand from the comments is that the prohibition of software installation relies on Google Play Services, so Graphene is on the clear with that.
That was my point, GrapheneOS relies partially on installing non Google Play originating software.
I still don’t how they (and F-Droid) plan to bypass the whole de al with Google killing non-PlayStore aproved© apps, tho. GrapheneOS relies on that as well.
Microsoft has been trying this for years already. That eventually led to Valve incresing their efforts in the Linux gaming front and releasing the Steam Deck.

Nice, a fellow simracer in Lemmy :)
What games are you playing mate?
Ken Thompson’s nightmare scenario was solved by a couple people who were enjoying their hobby in their free time
Could you elaborate further, please? I didn’t found anything about this story
Evento better, with blahaj and hookers.*
Im guessing they’ll make it illegal for users to try to bypass the restriction.
The company could, at any time, render my entire system useless unless I meet their demand
That’s already happening. Louis Rossman has a saga on the topic, including the company threatening legal action against him.
This is happening at my company. They gave us 6 months to build an AI-tool to replace a non-AI tool that has been very well built and tested for 6 years, and works perfectly well. The AI tool has some very amazing features, but it could never replace the good old tool.
The idiot in charge of the project has such a bad vision on the tool, yet likes to overhype it and oversell it so much.

Math students in university need to verify basically everything, that’s a lot of what the career is about. I remember being humbled when asked to prove something as familiar to everybody as -1 * -1 = 1
Your comment smells like opened canned fish left in the sun, eaten, then pooped out.
I feel like if there’s anyone being Reddit-like, it’s you.

That’ll make me really glad :)

Sadly, no. However, you could maybe do a personal blog, similar to how Terrence Tao does.
I really encourage you to try, it could help you find new stuff, check for mistakes, clarify ideas, and maybe even hear ideas from others.
Last year I went to “Rock to the park”, a free Colombian rock/metal festival. I went inside the “pogos” (mosh pits), some sort of way of violent dancing common in metal concerts, where everybody pushes everybody. I stayed there basically all night, despite being a very thin and physically weak person.
I think it was the most fun I’ve ever had in a social event.
How is that a “regime position”?
I think your best bet is emulation. I don’t know how easy is it to emulate PS3, but PS2 is incredibly easy, and Gran Turismo 4 runs flawlessly that was.
