OP, feel free to use https://lemmy-federate.com/
Works for me
That community is 3 days old, it had 11 posts, it’s still very reasonable to create a meta post about it and point people to the SJW
Unless there is some kind of automatic link forwarding that I’m not aware of. I’m making assumptions about what “Redirect” means based on my knowledge.
If you lock the community and pin the post to the SJW one willing to post will just follow that post to the SJW community
There is a fancier version like what @UndercoverUlrikHD@programming.dev did on !football@lemmy.world
But the last point probably overkill for a community that’s 3 days old.
And for the first one, it can be done manually too

Yes, this one or Matrix
20 active communities which are not politics, news, memes or tech
You can report them, they get removed
It should make less depressing content emerge
Yes, they can complete each other. Fedigrow for growing communities, yours more about external promotion.
But maybe we should find a different name for something less confusing. Maybe Fedipromo or something similar? To emphasize on the external promotion aspect
I do not mod it for transparency.
Even if you were, that would be fine.
You created the new community yesterday, it’s still time to lock it and redirect to the SJW one?
I appreciate the work you do in helping to keep the fediverse distributed.
To be fair the more I look at https://lemmyverse.net/communities?order=active the more I feel it’s a daunting task. And new communities like this one not being opened on other instances does not help.
Are you in America or Europe?
https://lemmy.fediverse.observer/list used to have a ping column, but they removed that a while ago
Interesting question for you: is it faster now that you are in Europe?
The issue is more about still another new community on LW while the existing SJW could have just been reused
For people curious why we chose that instance: https://lemmyverse.link/feddit.org/post/6950586
Great !
