It’s because the point of these memes isn’t to be humorous or to even make too much sense. It’s to be hateful so that the viewer has their dark feelings validated.

I am not a racist because other people agree. I am not hateful, because look, something I normally wouldn’t verbalize day to say is a lighthearted meme. Now, these things that would otherwise be unsaid or socially unacceptable have a point of expression, can be sent out to test the waters and find other like minded people.
