Apathy Tree

This sort of thing isn’t as uncommon as we’d like to believe. People wake up with the wrong leg amputated and shit often enough that people going in for procedures often write on themselves in the hopes of preventing it (links to examples below). And apparently doctors ask you to mark off which side sometimes on your own.

With the sheer number of surgical procedures every year, it’s basically inevitable that mistakes and fuckups will happen.

Now the cover-up part… that’s a bit more unusual.

None of those things apply to me so I’m still hopeful. :)

I just hope my 40s suck less. I’m almost stable and my country is probably going to collapse. And then the ecosystem around us will follow suit, yaaaay…

I have some people to jointly buy land with, and a zero waste, zero emission farm plan in place to weather the storm. Maybe. If we can all get our shit together super soon… it won’t be much but it’ll be ours and we’ll defend it fiercely. It’s the American way.

We’ll definitely be a local stop on the railroad, though, and I already know others who will do the same.

That’s why I’m careful, but there have been times I’ve swung it too far when the adjustment slips, so… very quick path from totally fine to felony.

Look, I’m not going to body shame, and old people deal with problems of that nature sometimes. That’s cool. It happens.

But like… given the options, I’d rather have a president who is -usually- together and with it… than someone so accustomed to shitting themselves they can do so mid-sentence, televised, and think nothing of it. That is not a good look internationally. Literally all the other shit he spews aside.
