I hopped onto the Reddit train late in the game, partially because I was busy elsewhere, but also because of the kind of bullshit that I’d heard about which wound up being pretty accurate. Inter-subreddit feuding, mod omnipotence wielded without the sort of checks and balances or the discretion that it should be, etc. I’m a little annoyed, but not really all that put out given how little I valued it to begin with. It’s said that absolute power corrupts absolutely, but there wasn’t even so much power to be had, some Mods were perfectly reasonable while others were practically bursting at the seams to fuck with users and jerk themselves off about it.
