I mean, blocking all of YouTube blocks all the shorts and it also blocks their disgusting tracking spyware littered across the web (not just Google properties).
I mean I would argue you shouldn’t be using anything except 3rd party clients. Preferably one that blocks “Shorts” entirely because vertical videos are insufferable and just wrong.
But regardless only like half of users are using the browser so that’s not useful for those people.

Or just add this to uBlock and never see them again.
www.youtube.com##:matches-path(/)a#thumbnail[href*="/shorts"]:upward(7) www.youtube.com##:matches-path(/)a#endpoint[title*="Shorts"]This doesn’t seem to work for their mobile site. Am I doing this right?
Try this for mobile:
m.youtube.com##.reel-shelf-items m.youtube.com##.reel-shelf-headerI think it worked, thanks! Would you also know what’s needed to filter these cards in the feed too by chance?
I’m not sure, but I’m not getting them.

m.youtube.com##.rich-section-contentThat worked too. Thanks!
I block all their domains using my DNS server and won’t ever be tracked by them again.
But then you also can’t watch regular videos anymore?
It’s worth it.
Well no. This is about blocking shorts, not about just not using youtube. There is plenty of good content on it.

That only works in the browser
Unless you NEED notifications, you should be using the browser
