For me its actually buying up all the awesome stuff that will never be made again like reel tape players, old video game systems (emulation fixes a lot of this but still), crts, old tube amps, old pcs.
I worry daily how old all of these things I love are getting. Born 30 years too late!
I don’t know, I grew up in the 00s and I remember that the music on the radio was 90% pure unadulterated ass. But then the bad songs get forgotten and the best ones earn their place in history. I believe the same thing happens to all trends and technology. While it’s always great to give old stuff a new life I believe we’ll look back on these days in twenty years and start collecting technology from this decade too. What will it be? No one knows.
