This has nothing to do with the 2020s. This has everything to do with reaching middle-adge.
We all feel this. But not all of us blame everything else that exists for our own personal circumstances.
I dunno, I think the culture wars have done a special thing where people who were part of the same subculture years ago, or musicians i liked or whatever, but would never really have thought about their politics much, now you can find yourselves on opposite sides of the great dividing line.
OK, so you’re clearly in your 20s or 30s. Because, by your 40s, you’d realize that this is a regular cultural churn that occurs every generation or so. I’m 46, so I’m just starting to experience this myself, but it is neither an unusual nor an impermanent thing. It’s cyclical. We all experience our own version of it.
I’m not trying to excuse them or say it’s OK or shouldn’t be made better, I’m just saying it’s something that regularly happens and shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.
That said, people, in general, should know that whatever “thing“ they’re gonna get into will probably have a particular lifespan, and they should be open to new “things“ in the future. And, especially, not to judge others for what “thing“ they’re into unless it harms other others.
Similarly, I’m not here to tell anyone what to do. But I’m happy to share what has worked for me.

OK, now this is especially “2020s”.
