Everytime someone brings up empathy with hostility or antagonism, I’m struck at the irony. It seems to me like someone’s posturing superior character & conscience by simply saying it.

I doubt anyone who preaches it isn’t as selective & partial. Empathy isn’t supposed to be convenient: following it as a guide means attempting to empathize with the most difficult cases.

I frankly think it pointless when the other side is shit, and there are better arguments to throw at them.
