That’s not quite what they said. They said it’ll cause congestion at the entry to the bus lane, preventing the bus from entering the extended bus lane in the first place, rendering its presence kinda moot. And buses would still suffer congestion at intersections with cross streets (which, to me, feels like the perfect use case for a box junction, but I don’t know the area)
