If you talk about small web, this is the definition.
Is that Lindisfarne?!
I used to read this when it just started, back on AOL dial-up. Wow - I’m both super happy that it’s still going, and a little sad that it hasn’t become bigger. It was a really nicely fleshed-out world.

I feel like there’s a sweet spot, where something is popular enough to be a thing, but not so popular that the people involved become celebrities too famous to be engaged with as people. I’m writing this from Dragon Con, and if I wanted to I could go find Bil Holbrook at his booth or after one of his panels (which look like they’re held in relatively small conference rooms) and just have a casual chat with him.
That’s way cooler than how it is with the big celebrities where you line up with a thousand other people, get ushered into a huge ballroom where you see them from afar for half an hour or so, and then get ushered out again while they go out a back door. And then maybe line up again so they can spend ten seconds shoving an autograph at you.
I think Kevin and Kell is pretty much just the right amount of popular.
Also, if I had noticed this earlier in the day I totally would’ve walked over to Mart 2 to congratulate him. I might try to do it tomorrow, if he’s still here and I get the chance.
oh wow they are STILL doing this strip?? We used to read it all the time back in the day.
I’ve kept up with their RSS for the last 15ish years. Its a delight to watch the family grow.
